Problems in Risk Estimates for Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis

Investigators in the Netherlands looked at 4 tools for calculating cardiovascular risk in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and found that the Reynolds risk score, Systematic Coronary Risk Evaluation, and the Framingham risk score may underestimate risk in patients with RA. The QRisk ll tool had a tendency to overestimate risk in this population.
